Journeyman Electrician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time, materials used, and job progress.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies
Qualifications & Requirements
- Journeyman Electrician License (North Dakota & Minnesota)
- Knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Proficiency with electrical hand and power tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in various environments (heights, confined spaces, outdoors)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks

- Lead and manage the electrical engineering team, ensuring projects meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements
- Develop and implement electrical design processes and quality control procedures
- Oversee product development, from concept to production, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Provide technical expertise in circuit design, power systems, and electrical safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and product development
- Ability to review, analyze, and optimize electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and system designs
- Ensure all electrical designs meet safety codes, compliance requirements, and best practices
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering challenges, ensuring high-quality product performance and reliability
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Maintain documentation for electrical designs, test procedures, and engineering reports
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes
- Foster a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to company and regulatory safety standards
